The girls and I met Jason for lunch the other afternoon and then we popped into the BX for a few supplies. Evelyn got to drive the cart for the very first time!

She had a BLAST beeping the horn and waving hello to everyone. Everything was great until we had to leave the store. Full on tantrum. Little girl loves her wheels.

As you all know now Aurelia is able to feed herself her own bottle - yippee again!! I've started reclining her highchair and giving her bottle to her in there so that she's out of the reach of a certain toddler who is, at times, a little TOO helpful. Well - this morning I gave Aurelia her bottle, went into the kitchen to wash some dishes and a few minutes later I noticed it was unusually quiet over in her part of the world. When I walked over to check on her - this is what I found:

What a peaceful little angel.

After the camera shutter open and closed a few times Aurelia woke up and realized she still had a few drops of milk left - so she got to it!

Mmmm....formula. Tasty.

Love my zoom lens!

We decided to pack a picnic and lure Jason out to the park on base for some quality time with his ladies. The weather was absolutely gorgeous so we had no trouble getting Daddy to meet us!

Me and my girls.

Evelyn was so good and ate all her lunch so Daddy took her over to the playground. First stop: slide!

Holding Daddy's hand was a must for this beast of a slide.

Oh that last bit was a doozie!

She got a little boo-boo on her arm that ride down. Nothing a little kiss from Daddy can't fix!

All better!

Aurelia was entertaining herself with her little piggies while Mommy played photographer.

Baby Blues.

Next was the spiral slide! But Daddy still had to hold Evelyn's hand. This was impressive.

Happy little girl.

What a great afternoon! A picnic lunch with Daddy AND the playground?!?! It doesn't get much better than this!

Thanks for stopping by! See you all real soon!
While Mommy was busy posting adorable pictures of her girls - her girls decided to throw a paper party in Evelyn's room. Aurelia was the maypole.

The mastermind.

It is so simple to entertain a toddler and her baby sister. Just pull out a large pink plastic container and watch the fun unfold!

Evelyn first had the brilliant idea of putting Aurelia in it and talking her for a little cruise around the house - I just had to get that on camera.

Once Evelyn pushed the tub to an ideal lounging location she could jump in there with Aurelia and relax a little.

AH! Sweet victory!

"Gimme those cheeks Sissy! I gotta get me some Ah-Ree-Ree kissies!"

Really though...how can anyone resist? You want some too - I know you do.

Soon Evelyn was ready to move this party outside. She grabbed hats for both her and Aurelia and then headed for the door.

Thankfully she hasn't quite figured out how to unlock the door. I suspect it won't be long though.

Aurelia is a good sport and is open to pretty much anything her older sister suggests.

Once again the pink party tub was in a prime lounging location so Evelyn climbed in.

Aurelia was super happy to see her in there again. Everything was wonderfully perfect until...

...Aurelia had to go touch Evelyn.

But then she remembered she's the bigger sister and has to the power to step out of reach from her little sister...for now anyway. Aurelia will be mobile soon...VERY soon. :)

And now for their close-ups!

Blog you soon!
It's a BIG DAY for the Shephards! We've got another "Ms. Independent" in the house! Aurelia is now able to feed herself her own bottle!!! YIPEE!!!

I'm not sure if she's too happy about this whole situation though...

Evelyn thinks it's pretty awesome.

She loves to help Aurelia out. She's going to make an EXCELLENT mommy!

It's so fun to see the two of them interact and play - they are so sweet with one another. It really does a Mommy's heart good.

Love my little girls.

Aurelia was having a tough time taking a nap in her crib that afternoon so I decided to just let her play on our bed while I put some laundry away. She was up there less than 10 minutes before she gave up conked out.

So peaceful and so precious.

Little angel.

While Aurelia napped Evelyn whipped up some special cookies in her Elmo kitchen - but she needed a little cooking music to get her motivated. Elmo knew just the song she needed! "In the kitchen we'll be cooking whatever you want! Shoebeedo shoebeedo shoebeedo! In Elmo's Restaurant!" Oh boy.

What else was left to do other than dance a little chicken dance! "Quack, quack, quack!"

"ROAR" says the lion!
