I did a little photo shoot with the girls yesterday - some of the pictures turned out pretty cute. I don't want to jump the gun in saying this...but I think I might be getting the hang of this "Mother of Two" business - slowly but surely.

Alright...as soon as I typed those last infamous words both the girls started going sideways. I just put Evelyn down for a nap and I'm rocking Aurelia in her vibrating chair with my foot as I type this...30 minutes has passed. Ahhh...here's hoping I'll get a shower today!

Precious little baby...especially precious when she's not screaming at me. :)

Loving her role as "Big Sister."

Special hugs and kisses.

Truman's thoughts: "I thought we already did this once." No, he's been great with both the girls - he truly is the best dog in the world.

Aurelia isn't too sure what to make of this little photo shoot.

Hook, line and stinker!

The Wantucks came over for dinner last night and Evelyn and her BFF, Adyson, hung out on the front porch swing together in true Southern fashion...minus the iced sweet tea.

"Hey there!"

"Hmmm...iced sweet tea does sound kind of good. Why didn't we think of that earlier?"

"Which one of our daddies is going to get some for us?"

Happy Halloween everyone!
Well...fall has arrived in Arkansas at long last! It is now cool enough to open the windows and whip out the ole' sweatpants and long sleeved t-shirts...but still warm enough for my trusty flip-flops. The leaves are changing colors and it's absolutely beautiful. Here are a few shots of our backyard looking out on the lake.

Jason and Evelyn joined me outside and I couldn't resist taking a few pictures. I wouldn't let Jason bring Evelyn outside unless she had socks, shoes, pants and a coat on - so he got around that by wrapping her up in a blanket - a Gonzaga blanket to be precise - I couldn't argue with that.

Sweet Daddy Kisses.

Hi Princess.

Hello handsome.

I don't know who enjoys tossing Evelyn around in the burrito blanket more...Evelyn or Jason.

Meanwhile...sweet little Aurelia enjoyed the warmth and comfort of her swing. Thank goodness for the modern marvels of baby gadgets. How did the pioneer women ever survive???

It's hard to believe that Aurelia is already a month old. This month has gone by so fast. We're still trying to find our rhythm and establish some sort of routine - but things are progressing. Aurelia is now up every four hours at night, which doesn't sound like much but it is a VAST improvement from the 2.5 hour feedings!

Evelyn loves Aurelia so much - she can't stand not to rush up and shower her with hugs and kisses!

Loving her little sister - how sweet is this? I hope they stay best friends forever.

Evelyn has had a pretty rough week - she has four new teeth coming in. Her "shark mouth" is much more intimidating now...watch out!

We went out to dinner last night with friends and Jason snapped this picture of me and Evelyn. He was so wonderful and kept telling me how pretty I looked...I think he was just amazed that I actually took and shower and did my hair. Poor guy. :)

We got back home and Aurelia needed to be nursed. This is the most difficult time because Evelyn wants so desperately to be a part of what's going on and I only have so much room on my lap. I pulled Evelyn up and Jason took this picture to capture the moment with my two girls.

So that was obviously staged....this is more like the reality of the situation:

As you can see I am saying a little prayer for peace, patience and a full-time, live-in nanny.
