Evelyn got a brand new toy - her first TBall set! She and Jason had so much fun trying it out - look at the joy on this little girl's face.

Aurelia was having some fun of her own on a blanket in the yard.

Or was she...

"Hmmm...I haven't quite made up my mind yet. I could go either way."

"Yeah - no. I'm tired of being by myself. Pick me up!"

"Or maybe this grass is interesting enough to hold my attention a while longer."

Meanwhile...back at bat...Evelyn went inside to get her Gonzaga baseball "hattie" and continued to tear it up.

"Hey Daddy, can I have a kiss?"

So cute!

Check out this action shot!

Victory!

Another fun activity? Balancing the ball while walking the stand down the sidewalk. Talented little princess!

After all that practice a little rest was needed.

T-Dog!

We then headed inside and the girls took a bath together - YEP! You read right - TOGETHER!
Our little girl is getting so big!

Evelyn sure does like having a little bath buddy - MUAH!

Yep - everything is great and it's all smiles...

...UNTIL Aurelia goes after Evelyn's shampoo bottle. Look at that block!

Impressive.
Our fabulous friend, Jacki, left lovely Seattle to come visit us in humid, mosquito-infested Arkansas - we so appreciate it Jacki! We had a great time while she was here - we introduced her to the awesome game of Mexican Train, watched 20 episodes of The Smurfs, ate delicious food, drank incredible wine and had the best girl talk out on the front porch while unknowingly being devoured by angry, blood-thirsty mosquitoes - that's the power of Girl Talk people....well...that and delicious wine.

We SMURF you, Jacki!

Now for the diaper part of the blog...

Evelyn had a particularly messy dinner so we stripped her down, slapped on her Crocs and went outside to play with the neighbor boy...who happened to be wearing his diaper too.

Hey..."When in Rome."

I think the ruffled top of her diaper adds a little feminine touch.
I guess Ms. Evelyn is a diva in her own right too.

Speaking of divas - Helloooo Aurelia! Cutie pie.

When my Aunt Bonnie (AKA Bob) came out to Little Rock to see us she brought the most delicious sesame seed pretzels from Trader Joe's - THE MOST FANTASTIC GROCERY STORE OF ALL TIME. Well, needless to say we all devoured them - me, Jason, Evelyn AND Truman too. Well, in true Aunt Bonnie fashion we recently received a box from her FILLED with these tasty little treats! Evelyn was pretty thrilled.

Look Mom! So Yummy!

MUAH!!! Thanks BOB!
We've been having all sorts of fun here at Casa de Shephard! This past weekend the girls got their very own jungle gym - Daddy! He proved to be a good source of entertainment - I might just keep him here at the house full time!

Nothing but hugs and kisses for the most important man in our lives.

This little lady has something to smile about..

YUP - she's getting ready to crawl - BIG TIME! She's got the whole stance down and even the mechanics of it all - she just has to trust herself a little more and then well...life gets a little more complicated for Mommy.

Evelyn wore her very first pair of pigtails today - she LOVED them. Is it just me - or is this one adorable child?!? What a sweetheart.

She's really into what Mommy does - brushing teeth, curling hair, applying make-up, going potty and carrying babies around in Bjorns.

I couldn't get her to look at the camera because "Elmo's World" was on and I just can't compete with that.

She gets this power of concentration from her Poppie. He likes the TV too.

Our neighbor gave us this great little wagon, which the girls just love being pulled around in. You'll have to take my word that they were both having a great time until I got the camera - then Aurelia was done. Isn't that Murphy's Law or something?

We all had some dinner, one of us had a bottle and then we were all back outside again. Here are a few of my favorite shots.

Hiding her treasures in a secret compartment under her seat. Shhhh....don't tell anyone!

BYE-BYE!
